Free early access · Personal setup help · No card required
START SMALL. SEE THE DIFFERENCE.
One client. One shared workspace.
Give your team and your client a clear place to put the work—and a clear next step.
- Monthly hours, submitted together
- Leave requests with an approval record
- Statements, invoices and payslips in place
We can walk through it with you and your client.
SOUND FAMILIAR?
The books are your job. The chase eats your day.
An invoice in one inbox. Hours in a spreadsheet. A leave request buried in a message. Every missing piece means another follow-up before you can move on.
Give the handoff a home.
SEE THE ACTUAL WORKSPACE
Open your work. Know where to look next.
The Close inbox shows what still needs handling across your client companies. Open bank statements, invoices or payslips straight from the queue.
Client documents, timesheets and leave in one place.
MONTHLY TIMESHEETS
One month. One submission.
Employees enter their hours and submit the whole month. Managers approve or return it together, giving you a recorded decision to work from.
TIME OFF & APPROVALS
Leave with a clear paper trail.
Requests, dates and decisions stay in the workspace. Check approved time off alongside recorded hours when preparing the payroll handoff.
DOCUMENTS & ACCESS
Client files, where you expect them.
Keep bank statements, incoming and outgoing invoices, payslips and employee documents in their designated areas, with access controlled by role.

Questions about your client portal
Who is BookkeeperHR for?
BookkeeperHR is for accounting firms, bookkeepers and payroll teams working with businesses that have employees. We focus on small UK practices that need a shared place for client documents, timesheets and leave, especially when those handoffs happen across email and spreadsheets.
Will my client’s team need to use it?
Yes. The people entering hours or uploading records need accounts in the workspace. Employees submit their month, managers handle approvals, and the accountant accesses the records allowed by their role. We can include your client in the walkthrough.
Do I have to move all my clients?
Start with one. Try the workflow with a familiar client before deciding whether to use it more widely. Your existing accounting software can remain part of your process.
Will BookkeeperHR stay free?
BookkeeperHR is free during early access.
Does it connect to QuickBooks or Xero?
There is currently no QuickBooks or Xero integration. BookkeeperHR organises the hours, leave and uploaded files used in your handoff. It does not calculate payroll, submit returns to HMRC, generate invoices or replace your accounting software.
Does it track employees with a timer or GPS?
No. Employees enter their hours in a monthly timesheet. There is no running timer or GPS tracking.
How is access to client information handled?
Access follows workspace membership and role. Uploaded documents use private storage. The privacy notice explains providers, processing and deletion. The DPA is included in the customer agreement, which an authorised workspace owner accepts before customer data is added.
Can I arrange a call without loading Calendly?
Yes. Use the email option below the booking calendar. It shows our address and lets you copy it into your own email service. You can also request a reply through the enquiry form when available.
